As I’m currently doing the Whole30 finding delicious snacks that fit the rules is proving to be challenging. That was until I found these bacon wrapped dates!! Bacon and dates together – two of the best things in the world make for paleo candy!!! The perfect afternoon pick-me-up, post-workout snack or starter at a party.
INGREDIENTS
1 packet of bacon
24 dates
Toothpicks
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to bake 180.
Start with uncooked bacon – it should also be minimally processed and have no added sugar.
Soften pieces by putting them in the microwave for 30 seconds - bacon that is cooked a little bit first is easier to wrap around the dates.
Once you’ve done that, cut each piece of bacon in half.
Start individually wrapping the dates, securing them with a toothpick.
Place wrapped dates on a lined baking tray.
Bake for 10 – 15 minutes (leave them longer if you like crispy bacon).
Leave for 10 minutes to cool before serving.
