Nothing beats a good apple crumble, so I though why not try recreate the flavour in a snack sized bite?! With a can of 100% pure apples these took 5 minutes to prepare and 25 minutes to bake. This mixture makes approximately 10 cookies.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup of walnuts
1/2 cup of almonds
1 cup of cooked apples - I used a tin of 100% pure apples
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
2 tablespoons of almond meal
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1 tablespoon of maple syrup
1/2 cup of rolled oats
DIRECTIONS
Blend walnuts and almonds in your food processor to get a fine consistency.
Add remaining ingredients and mix until combined.
Roll mixture into small balls and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Press down small balls with a fork.
Bake at 160 for 25 minutes.
Leave to cool for at least 10-15 minutes, allowing the cookies to harden.
